  1. There are some mistakes or incomplete information in my lecture about computers and networks, as well as some important comments, here they are:

    1) IP addresses does not contain digits 1-9, but 0-9 of course.
    2) Not only encryption, but obfuscation chained proxies process is needed in order to not being tracked – search for “tor network”to get more info.
    3) bios vs. kernel:
BIOS (basic input/output system) is the program a personal computer’s microprocessor uses to get the computer system started after you turn it on. It is a hardware-based configuration prior to booting the operating system.

Kernel is the essential center of a computer operating system, the core that provides basic services for all other parts of the operating system. It provides an abstraction layer between applications (software) and hardware (your favourite photo application doesn’t need to know what is the geometry of your harddisk – kernel knows it)

(Over)simply put in an analogy: The starter (BIOS) that is attached to an automobile engine (kernel) is used to start the engine (kernel)… which is then used by applications (web browser).
    4) I am convincing myself to be a criminal publicly – I do not know exactly what shall I/we do about it, I just don’t feel very comfortable about it ;)
    5) As I see, Seb decided to run this our blog under CC-BY-NC licence – remember the CC creative commons copyleft stuff at the and of my talk? :) – click on the icon at the very bottom of this blog…
